Tavern Getting Better
The Toad Tavern has long been a favorite hangout for
both music lovers and musicians. Now a good thing is
getting better. The main improvement came in the form
of removing the stage from it's cramped corner location
and replacing it with a large stage along the back wall.
Add some new lights and tweeks to the sound system and
you have a stage where your favorite musicians can let
loose and be heard at their best.
Warming up the stage when we went were those rich,
smoky, soulful vocals of Tempa and her band, The Tantrums.
After what seemed ages of waiting for it, Tempa has
finally released a new EP CD called Voodoo & Angels.

Under Paris Skies
Need to spark up your love life? Then, head on over
to the Clocktower Cabaret and catch Lannie Garrett's
Under Paris Skies.
In a charming club where the decor is a throwback to
the old Moulin Rouge in 18th Century Paris, Lannie and
the Gypsy Swing Revue cast their love spell through
the passionate music inspired by Django Reinhardt and
his Hot Club of France. You're swept away to the romantic
streets of Paris where you're Under Paris Skies.
What else can you do but fall in love?
Peppered with Lannie's signature humor, the passionate
Gypsy Jazz kept every member of the audience glued to
their seats through the entire performance. Leave it
to Lannie to bring world class entertainment to Denver.
The Saturday night show is topped off with the Late
Night Burlesque show. Keeping with the tradition of
burlesque where the show is about the artistry and the
tease, it is a class act that is a must see.
Don't miss the Demented Divas show on Wednesday nights
and check the calander often for information on the
hot national acts the club brings to town.
